About this Plugtests™ Event
The XAdES 2012 Plugtests event aims to conduct interoperability test cases on XAdES signatures (TS 101 903), including the XAdES Baseline Profile (TS 103 171). This will include a set of specific test cases related to the standard XAdES providing full test coverage of the specifications.
The event will be run from 14th March to 28th March 2012 and are open to both ETSI members and non-members.
The event will cover the following testing :
- Full test coverage of the XAdES v1.3.2 and v1.4.1 specifications including testing signatures evolution, simulating real life situations.
- A new set of new Interoperability test cases will also be provided to cover the new standard ETSI TS 103 171 XAdES Baseline Profile.
- Conformance Testing : A new tool for the XAdES baseline profile will enable the participants to perform conformance testing of new ETSI TS 103 171 XAdES Baseline Profile.
This Plugtests event will enable participants to conduct 4 types of tests (Interoperability and Conformance):
- Generation and cross-verification (Positive) tests.
- Only-verification (Negative) tests.
- Signature Upgrade tests
- Conformance testing on XAdES Baseline Profile signatures
The purpose of these events is:
- To consolidate solutions to already identified interoperability issues of XAdES.
- To enable participants to assess the level of interoperability of XAdES and XAdES Baseline profile
- To identify additional issues that should be taken into account in future XAdES standardization activities.
- To improve the quality of XAdES specifications.
- To ease the introduction of XAdES signatures, by providing the means to solve interoperability problems before widespread deployment..
